Rivers usually create themselves near lakes and seas and often combine with them, however rivers are always temporary. The rivers known from world maps are there because they have a unique trait – they always appear in the same place. It is the most important fact to know about rivers: a river has stages of existence, and if it re-appears in the same spot then it undergoes its life cycle again and again. The life cycle of a river is called among sailors a „river school” and stages are often referred to as grades or classes. Some rivers live for very long, and the longest river school is of Nile in Egypt. Nile always re-appears after its 5^th class.
