The cross of immortality is made of two paths: Starpath and Moonpath, which are both created during the forest holidays of Mabon, one during the day holiday, one during the night holiday.

The Starpath and the Moonpath are two roads, which together create a circle of life. The circle is the product of the two paths, and is a third road. Creation of the third, cycle road, occurs naturally if the Starpath and Moonpath are both discovered. (Dom Daville, 1Ep.3Er.)

This cross serves the purpose of 1: creating a starpath and a moonpath for its user and 2: granting immortality to its user. To use the cross, one has to pray to it with a traditional formula:

How does this immortality work? (Author question)

The cross lays out two paths in front of the praying person, and for every person the paths look different. They are always very short, four feet short averagely, and they are one horizontal and one vertical. The length of the paths is also adjusted to the cross user. Then a circle starts running through the crossroads. The circle is of colour best suited for its user, and on its path one of six types of objects usually appear: pebbles, flowers, pearls, diamonds, golden coins, silver coins. They represent six main sciences of magic. They show to the user what he is made of. Sometimes more than one object type may appear. Immortality is gained from this event. (God Ambrosius)

How does this cross work? (Author question)

The cross comes to life during the day and night of 24^th September, and is born out of two paths created on that date. The cross works from then on in the described way because of the magic which birthed it. The birth happens when both of the roads are enchanted in the ground during Mabon's day and night, and then it comes out of the ground. Usually after its birth it changes its size to small one, however during birth it is usually very big. The roads charmed up during Mabon are of normal human size, therefore the birth of the cross is a monumental event. The Duanda have created many Road Crosses so far since the beginning of the world.
